The second day of BUBT Research Week 2026 featured a Poster Presentation, where students, faculty members and researchers from various departments showcased their research works. A total of 66 teams from all departments of the university participated in the poster presentation.
The event was judged by a panel of renowned academicians and professionals. The distinguished judges included Professor Dr. Mahfuzul Hoque, Department of Accounting and Information Systems, University of Dhaka; Professor Dr. Md. Alam Hossain, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jashore University of Science and Technology; Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir Hassan, Acting Vice Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT); Professor Dr. Md. Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, Department of English, Islamic University, Kushtia and former Vice Chancellor and Barrister Mustasim Tanzir, a prominent advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
The program was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahman, Dean of the Research Graduate School, attended the event as a Special Guest. The overall session was conducted by Professor Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib, Chairman, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BUBT.
Faculty wise participation in the poster presentation was noteworthy. Ten posters were presented from the Faculty of Business and Economics, fifteen from the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, fifteen from the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, eight from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, six from the Faculty of Law, and twelve from the BUBT Research Graduate School. The selected champions from these presentations will be formally awarded on the prize-giving day of BUBT Research Week 2026.
During the poster presentation session, participating students, faculty members, and researchers showcased the objectives, methodologies, and findings of their research works. The presentations were further enriched through constructive feedback and guidance from the judges. The organizers expressed optimism that this initiative would play a significant role in enhancing research-oriented thinking, innovative capacity, and academic excellence among the participants.
It is noteworthy that BUBT Research Week 2026, scheduled from 25 to 29 January 2026, aims to further strengthen research and innovation based academic activities at BUBT through a series of impactful programs.
