October 26, 2025 – The Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) Research Graduate School and Department of Mathematics & Statistics successfully organized the highly anticipated Vice Chancellor’s Lecture Series on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The session, which focused on "First Steps in Mathematical and Statistical Research: Scientific Article Writing and Publication for Beginners," drew a large attendance of faculty members, researchers, and students.

The event took place at the BUBT International Conference Hall at 3:00 PM. Md. Haider Ali Biswas, PhD, Professor from the Mathematics Discipline at Khulna University, served as the keynote speaker. Dr. Biswas delivered an insightful and practical presentation, guiding attendees through the foundational steps of initiating mathematical and statistical research and navigating the publication process in academic journals.

Professor Dr. Munshi Mahbubur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at BUBT, graced the event as the Chief Guest. His remarks emphasized the crucial role of high-quality research and scholarly writing in enhancing the university’s academic profile. Dr. Md. Abdul Hye, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at BUBT, ably chaired the session, ensuring a fruitful dialogue among the participants.
