Department Overview

The MBA program at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) is a full-time evening shift program. Students will be required to complete 66 credits consisting of foundation courses, compulsory courses, major courses and an internship/thesis. Students who meet the specified criteria may receive exemptions for up to eight foundation courses. In such cases, the minimum degree requirement shall be 42 credit hours. Others can also apply for credit waiver depending upon their background results. The two year full-time MBA program is structured into 4 regular semesters where students can take courses consisting of 15 credits in each semester. Following completion of the course work, students need to undertake a twelve-week internship/thesis work. After completion of organizational attachment, students prepare reports on their internship experiences that are to be defended in a formal presentation session. The time to complete the program depends upon the enrollment of courses by a student per-semester.
