Abdullah Al Mahmud Nafiz

Professional Summary

Mr. Nafiz is an Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate and early-career academic with strong research interests in photonics, ultrafast laser–matter interaction, nonlinear optics, and photonic crystal fiber–based sensing. After completing B.Sc. in EEE from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), he is currently pursuing M.Sc. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Beyond academic duties in BUBT, he is actively involved in collaborative research projects, with publications in reputable journals and experience in interdisciplinary projects spanning optics, Plasmonics, and machine learning. Mr. Nafiz is highly motivated to mentor students and contribute to innovative research environments. His long-term career objective is to attain expertise in Optical Physics and develop impactful research in photonic integrated systems, ultrafast optics, and next-generation optical sensing and communication technologies. Beside all these, he loves to gather knowledge on contemporary history, being familiar with new lifestyle, culture and indigenous people.
