Jubayer Ahmed Bhuiyan Shawon is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). Previously, he served as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator in the Department of CSE at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST), where he played a pivotal role in several committees, including serving as a co-advisor of the Sports Committee and as a member of the Admission and Gym Committees. He also began his academic career as a Lecturer at Uttara University, (UU). Overall, he has approximately four years of teaching experience. Jubayer completed his B.Sc. Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST), Saidpur, Cumilla, securing 5th position with a CGPA of 3.84/4.00. He is currently working on his Master’s thesis at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Board Bazar, Dhaka, where he has achieved a CGPA of 3.88/4.00. His primary research interests include Bangla sign language recognition using deep learning, computer vision, and transformer-based approaches, and has published two journal papers. He has co-authored conference papers in the agriculture and weather forecasting domains in 2025 and is currently working on fine-tuning transformer-based models. He has supervised several undergraduate thesis groups, published conference papers, and has additional work submitted to new conference venues. He has also served as a reviewer for the IEEE COMPAS 2025 Conference, held at the Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh, on October 23–24, 2025; the 1st ICEFront 2026 Conference; and the 28th ACM International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI 2026), held in Napoli (Naples), Italy, from October 5–9, 2026.
