the field of accounting. Since its inception, the department has played a
crucial role in producing skilled graduates equipped to meet the dynamic needs
of both local and global business environments.

Chairman's Message
Welcome to the Department of Accounting at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). As we all know, today’s world is a world of industrialization and globalization. Though Bangladesh is an agricultural country, rapid industrialization has become imperative for the country to keep pace with global development. To be successful in this competitive industrialized world, we need a huge skilled manpower in the field of accounting, finance, management, marketing etc. Again, as accounting is the language of business, so a business form without an accounting professional is incomplete. With due consideration of this role and function, the Department of Accounting has successfully disseminated accounting knowledge to students since its inception in 2009.
Our goal is to become a brand in developing expert human resources and also in expanding accounting knowledge through research. We are continuously entering the opportunities to become a top accounting hub of the country. It is also a matter of pride that our graduates are successfully entering into different organizations including banks, financial institutions, major national and multinational companies and some of them are also acting as entrepreneurs to serve the society as well. You all are welcome to visit the department to see our progress in the field of spreading accounting education.
