Dr. Md. Zakir Hosain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his PhD in Finance at Bangladesh University of Professionals. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking and his master’s degree in Finance from the University of Chittagong. He has been teaching at BUBT since June 1, 2010. He served as Chairman of the Department of Finance, Director of the BUBT Innovation Hub, and on various administrative committees at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) Dr. Hosain served as a member of the Self-Assessment (SA) Committee of the Department of Business Administration at BUBT under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), Bangladesh. He has published numerous articles in both national and international journals. He completed the Intensive Training Program on Applied Research Methodology at BUBT and the Certificate in eLearning and Teaching (CeLT) offered by the Foundation for Learning, Teaching, and Research. He has presented papers at and participated in many seminars, workshops, and conferences. As part of academic industry engagement, he has visited many domestic industries. During his PhD studies, he received a research grant from Bangladesh University of Professionals. His research interests include capital markets, corporate finance, fintech, banking, and taxation.
