Professional Summary

Mostofa Kamal is currently a Lecturer of Mathematics at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) under the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics since 15 July 2025. Previously, he served as a Lecturer of Mathematics at Z. H. Sikder University of Science and Technology. He successfully completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics (2021) and M.Sc. in Mathematics (2022) from Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, securing 3rd position in the B.Sc. program and 4th position in the M.Sc. program. His master’s research focused on mathematical modeling of social diseases and optimal control strategies. He is a recipient of several academic honors, including the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship (2024), yearly merit scholarships (2019–2024), and 8th place in the 13th Dhaka South Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad (2022). His research interests include applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, optimization techniques, and disease dynamics. He is particularly interested in developing mathematical models, conducting theoretical analysis, and performing numerical simulations to address complex social and epidemiological problems. Furthermore, he is keen to expand his research into artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
